DESCRIPTION:SESAME is pleased to announce that applications are now open fo
 r the **IAEA Annual Training Workshop on Synchrotron Techniques and Appli
 cations**\, which will take place at SESAME from **15 to 19 November 2026
 **. The workshop is organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (I
 AEA) in cooperation with SESAME.\n\nThe workshop is designed for researche
 rs with little or no previous experience in synchrotron radiation techniqu
 es who wish to gain practical knowledge of synchrotron-based experiments a
 nd learn how to prepare competitive beamtime proposals. Participants will 
 receive hands-on training at several SESAME beamlines\, complemented by le
 ctures covering the principles and applications of synchrotron science. \
 n\nResearchers interested in participating are invited to consult the [re

  on the IAEA event page. Applications must be submitted through the IAEA I
 nTouch+ platform via the appropriate national authority or invited organis
 ation. The deadline for submission is **16 August 2026**.
