DESCRIPTION:The first workshop on** Frontiers in Science at 4th generation
  synchrotron facilities**\, to be held **October 12th &amp\; 13th\, 2026*
 * at **SOLEIL**. \n\nIts scientific scope is intentionally broad and inc
 ludes the SOLEIL scientific challenges defined in the Conceptual Design Re
 port and discussed in the science sections of SOLEIL. \n\nThe workshop ai
 ms to address important science topicsand major scientific and societal ch
 allenges that could benefit from the future evolution of synchrotron facil
 ities\, gathering the community to exchange ideas and share breakthroughs.
 \n\nInvited talks from international leaders will review key scientific qu
 estions and discuss the associated research needs\, including new capabili
 ties in instrumentation\, techniques\, data analysis\, and facility capaci
 ty with emphasis in imaging and coherence-based techniques. An additional 
 goal is the complementarity with other large-scale facilities (such as TEM
 s\, lasers\, FELs\, etc.).
