This workshop is intended to introduce to crystallography enthusiasts the basic concepts of single crystal diffraction with emphasis on proteins, and offer a glimpse in treatment of neutron single crystal data reduction tools by comparing data treatment the commercial HKL-2000 software as well as the new OpenHKL software, which is being developed at MLZ. The lectures and practical sessions with neutron data examples from Biodiff instrument @ MLZ will thus provide the essential tools to test the new OpenHKL software at a beginner’s level, and have an interactive session with the software developer for providing feedback for its further development.
