The objective of this TFG is to design and carry out a didactic proposal focused on motor games to promote the development of basic motor skills (jumping, bouncing, throwing and catching) in a group of 5 year old students of Early Childhood Education.
The proposal is developed during the practice period and consists of three sessions with a playful approach. The approach includes practical and sequenced activities, adjusted to the characteristics of the students and the school context. To evaluate the proposal, the participation of the group is observed and the development of each of the sessions and the teaching experience itself is reflected upon. The results show a high involvement of the students, as well as a positive attitude towards the proposed tasks. Although some difficulties related to space and group management arise, the experience confirms the educational value of motor games.
In short, it is clear that this type of proposal favors not only physical development, but also autonomy, social interaction and emotional expression, and therefore its regular presence in the Early Childhood Education classroom is recommended.
